What is that?

I remember when I first saw my house because my mom lives down the street. We would drive by all the time and one day it was for sale. We peeked in the backyard and saw this strange looking tree. At first we thought it was an orange tree but after further investigation we realized it was a persimmon tree. Odd huh?

They aren't very tasty according to Logan.

Oh man!! I would pay BIG money to have a persimmon tree in my back yard. There's an amazing cookie recipe that my dad makes. The trick is that you have to wait to harvest them until you have a hard freeze (otherwise they have what my Grandmother used to call pucker power). Then, you pulp them in a colander to get the seeds out and use the pulp in baking. The cookies that we make have almost a spice cake flavor to them with nuts and raisins, etc.
