The Stinkers Bathroom aka my son's

The master bathroom and my sons are the same (faucet, cabinet, paint) expect for the shower curtain and accessories. His bathroom has a jungle theme which he loves because his bedroom is an ocean theme so he gets both worlds!



I think the elephant without a brain is kinda weird but also cute. I'll try and take pictures of the trashcan (giraffe on it) and the shower curtain (monkeys) sometime this weekend. We rarely have guests over so there wasn't a need to make the bathroom an adult room. Logan uses it the most so I think having him decorate it with things he loves is really important.

Master bathroom again

It's almost complete! You can see the cabinet that we will use for our toiletries and you can also see the toothbrush holder that is a cup. I found a shower curtain that I want and hopefully I can buy it this weekend.

We almost have the master bathroom back!

He installed the cabinets today and also the toilet. Here are a few more pictures and the some ugly before shots so you can see just how far we have come!

And eeek...before

They just have to put the sinks in and do some touch up work on some tiles and then it's all ours! Whew!

I am so happy that he is almost done with the shower and has started the floor. The floor is what took the longest in the guest bath.

I still need to find a nice shower curtain that will add a little color to the bathroom and make it saucy!

They started putting tiles in the shower

I came home today and Tom had started putting the tiles around the shower. We chose the black and white subway tiles to go with the floor we chose.

This is the cubby where the shampoo will go.

This is a before picture of the tub area. I wish I had taken more pictures of it but as you can see the tub is old and fiberglass and the tiles were square.

Dust dust everywhere!

Tom put the tub in today. The door you see to the left of the tub is actually the door that opens to the bathroom from the bedroom. I'm sure it's hard to tell what's what from some of these pictures.



And I took this one while standing as far away as I could looking straight on.



They said the wall should be done by next Thursday so we should buy the paint this weekend. I think I'm more excited about having the bedroom a new color then I am about the bathroom being done! HA! These walls have been this plain beige for NINE years! That is entirely too long.

If you look really closely to this picture you can see the snowmen flannel sheets on the bed (I told you I love snowmen) and you can also see the Raid on the floor near the mirror. We have had two of those really huge water roaches coming in now that it's been so exposed. Gross. Oh, and we don't sleep in this room right now. It smells bad and is way too dusty.

Well, I came home to this today. They tore down the wall that connects the bathroom to the bedroom. The first shot is taken while I'm in the bedroom and the second one is me standing in the bathroom looking into the bedroom. Of course normally I can't see this while standing in the bathroom because that's where the tub goes! At least they have started.

A fresh start

I've decided to start this blog because we have been doing so much work on the house that I wanted to be able to see the process and progress that is being made with it. We are currently working on remodeling the spare and master bath.


That is a before and after picture of the spare bath. The old bath had a huge mirror above the sink and it had these really ugly brown cabinets that we never used. We had a recessed medicine cabinet installed and we also replaced the sink with a pedestal one instead.
